Corning has been committed to the advancement of optical communications over the last half century. Beyond classical optics, we are currently exploring ways to utilize our capabilities as they relate to the quantum realm, including quantum cryptography and quantum networking. Technologies include special optical fibers for quantum key distribution and teleportation, and components and materials for quantum optical memories and repeaters.
